Workshop submissions for RWA’s 2020 conference in Fremantle, Western Australia are now open! The conference team is looking to build on its program with an excellent array of workshops covering craft, business, research and industry. We hold our national conference in August each year, bringing together more than 300 aspiring, emerging and established authors. Across three days, participants enjoy professional workshops, networking, and educational opportunities, with the conference being a sought-after destination for Australian and international romance writers alike.
In 2020 we will head west to the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges in Western Australia. This historic Western Australian city will provide a romantic backdrop for our conference which will be held from 14 to 16 August 2020.
The conference team is thrilled to welcome you to their beautiful state where you’ll be treated to a wild and wonderful program, no matter where you are on your writing journey.

Here are just some of the program highlights you have to look forward to…
Lisa Cron, author of Story Genius and Wired for Story, will deliver a full-day workshop on Friday. (Check out her Ted talk here). Lisa’s workshop will run concurrently with an Author Day for established and emerging authors.
New York Times bestselling author Heather Graham will also be in attendance, and new for the conference in 2020 will be a trade show featuring marketing, indie services and software companies.
A whole host of international and national publishers, editors and agents will be in attendance and available for pitching including Tanera Simons, agent for Darley Anderson, and Anna Boatman, publisher from PCR Fiction (Piatkus Fiction and Constable Crime).

Workshop submissions will open on 1 September 2019 and close on 30 September 2019. Successful presenters will be notified by 31 October 2019. The program will be announced February 2020.
