Cover Crush | July

In Guest Articles, Member New Releases by RWA Blog CoordinatorLeave a Comment

July is here and we’ve said goodbye to half the year. Last month I mentioned how much I love winter. But as the weeks drag by and early nights and dark mornings set in, I’m missing those long, summer days.

One of the highlights, as always, is the RWA member’s new releases. We are surrounded by talent in our community. One of the primary reasons I enjoy writing this blog so much is because I have the chance to celebrate their gifts.

This month, we have dragons.

We also have layered imagery, multifaceted world building, magical overtones, a scene of epic adventure and … did I mention the dragons?

Burn by Keri Arthur

What a feast for the eyes. A complex narrative interwoven in a single image to depict a world created by one of our monarchs. Burn by Keri Arthur and designed by J Caleb Design combine all the concepts of her distinct and recognisable style. Interlace this with a striking typeface, vibrant colours, both author and series branding alignment and you have an epic cover simply waiting to be consumed by the masses. Well done Keri. This is another wonderful addition to the Cover Crush family.

If members would like to get their covers into Heart’s Talk, just log into your account on the RWA website and upload your image before the 8th of each month.

If you’re interested in reading my previous cover crush nominations, you can find them on the Romance Writers Australia website.

Until next month…

From the age of sixteen, Annabelle lived in a youth refuge while she remained committed to her education. She spent two years within a section of humanity that society overlooks.

Her experiences are the foundations that drive her stories and her characters. They fight for their freedoms, have courage in the face of adversity and will ultimately, always aspire for greatness.

Annabelle is privileged to spend her time writing with a backdrop of Canberra’s iconic landmarks and admiring its distinct and captivating change of seasons. Outside of her love for reading, she spends every free moment with her husband, son and her poodle named Serendipity. She drinks her whisky neat and is known to scour the local markets in an attempt to find the best blue cheese available.
