Cover Crush | May

Can you believe that it’s May already? Our line-up of covers this month from our members is once again breath-taking. The range of trends, genre and themes pulls me in all different directions.

But there is one particular standout this month. In my opinion, this is a cover that is so breathtakingly gorgeous, I’m tempted to ask it to marry me only so I can have that ring all to myself.

This month, my Cover Crush has progressed towards love.

Ainslie Paton’s One Night Wife published with Entangled Publishing is a cover that Pops with a capital P. It appeals to the heart as well as the head. When authors, publishers and artists talk about an elegant cover, this is what they refer to. Though we’re seduced by that striking image, the true brilliance of this cover is in the type-face, text placement, colour matching and style. It’s bursting with vibrancy, luminosity and sparkle. It’s visually stunning and calls directly to a soul that is aching for beauty, passion and love.

It’s to market, it’s on trend and it meets readers expectations about what type of story would be discovered inside. Plus, it’s just so damn beautiful it makes me weep.

Congratulations Ainslie and Entangled Publishing.

If members would like to get their covers into Heart’s Talk, just log into your account on the RWA website and upload your image before the 8th of each month.

If you’re interested in reading my previous cover crush nominations, you can find them on the Romance Writers Australia website.

Until next month…
