Love Gone Wild, the 26th Annual Romance Writers of Australia Conference will be held at the Pullman King George Square Hotel in Brisbane from August 11-13th, 2017.
Queensland has one of the most diverse environments in Australia. This formed the basis of our Love Gone Wild theme. With numerous changes in our industry over the past few years (mergers, acquisitions, the rise of self-publishing and more…) we are all faced with new challenges and opportunities. We aim to discover, grow and nurture all these elements at this year’s conference.
We will have a diverse ecosystem of international and national guests at next year’s event. Home grown talent, Marion Lennox and Kate Forsyth, are our adventurous keynote speakers, while our exotic international agents and editors including Cassie Hanjian from Waxman Leavell Literary Agency and Carrie Feron from William Morrow/Avon.
To accommodate all levels of aspiring, emerging and established authors, we will be running two workshops on Friday. You may feel like you are lost in the jungle, but our Bootcamp workshops will help you find your way through the wilderness to improve your craft, discover new possibilities and teach you invaluable survival skills.
The Pullman King George Square Hotel, part of the Accor Group, is located in the heart of the city. This newly renovated 5 Star hotel is a beautiful haven for Love Gone Wild.
Spread your wings, find your tribe, plant a few seeds, and get ready for a WILD ride.
