In 2020 RWA’s national conference has gone virtual, bringing you five days’ worth of workshops about romance, craft, business, marketing and research – all from the comfort of your own home.
The Love in Isolation virtual conference will be held from Wednesday 12 August to Sunday 16 August 2020.
The conference includes over 40+ hours across 31 workshops. Tickets cost $150 for members and $250 for non-members (plus GST).

Our special guests include:
- New York Times bestselling author Heather Graham
- Tanera Simons, agent for Darley Anderson
- Anna Boatman, published with PCR Fiction (Piatkus Fiction and Constable Crime)
- Liz Pelletier from Entangled who will present a full-day workshop.
Workshops may be live, pre-recorded or a combination of both with opportunities for live Q&A sessions. And if you are unable to watch all sessions, there’s no need to worry as every presentation will be available to watch for three months after the event.
As with our face-to-face conference, we are offering pitch appointments with editors, agents and businesses. Check out our pitching opportunities page but don’t delay as spaces will fill fast and appointments will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Frequently Asked Questions
What software do I need to participate?
All sessions will be presented through WebinarNinja (https://webinarninja.com). It is a browser-based software which means you don’t have to use any other software besides your web browser. You can also attend sessions on mobile devices, both Android and iOS.
I don’t have a webcam/microphone. How do I ask questions during a workshop?
Every session will have a chat window where questions can be asked if there is time or the presenter is available (some sessions are pre-recorded). Questions can only be asked via the chat window.
What if I can’t watch every presentation as it happens?
Your ticket includes three months of access to the presentations so you can watch any or all of them at your leisure after the conference.
