Firstly, congratulations to all who entered. It’s not easy putting creative work out for review, bravo!
We received a total of 35 high quality entries which were each reviewed by three different judges.
Thank you to our wonderful 36, mix of reader and writer judges, who volunteered their time, energy and expertise to review these entries.
Based on the ranking and word count, this year’s Anthology will contain 12 short stories.

The short stories (all 5000 words or less), by these talented authors, will feature in the Spicy Bites 2020 – Leather Anthology, along with the following stories that have won a place as the top 12:

It is worth noting that the 12 placegetters scored at least 97% and the lowest a very creditable 70.5% which indicates the high standard of writing in the contest. Several judges, who have judged for Spicy Bites in previous years, commented on the high quality of entries this year.
But, you’ll have to wait until August to read these delicious morsels.
A contest to find the winning cover for this year’s anthology is underway –- and the anthology will be released at the annual Romance Writers of Australia Conference in Fremantle, Western Australia, on Saturday August 15th, 2020.
