Workshop Details:

It’s a story as old as writing itself: your manuscript’s beginning is
captivating, original and polished, and the end is full of action, growth, and emotional
satisfaction. But the middle…? Oh, the middle. You sigh and start to wonder if anyone will even notice if it sags. Like middle children, story middles are often overlooked, but in this workshop we’ll give middles their sparkly moment in the spotlight. We’ll talk about midpoints, subplots (since the middle is their natural habitat!), conflict that runs out of steam, plot twists, scattering breadcrumbs and smuggling in your catnip.

*This is the same workshop that was standing room only in Hobart, but now includes content that was left on the cutting room floor to fit session length PLUS brand new problem areas to troubleshoot (which also means more smug cats, obviously). For Writer Wonderland attendees who are coming to the Extended Edition: if you walked away with any questions, shoot them over to Rachel (rachel@rachelbailey.com) and she'll do her best to address them during this session.

About Rachel:

Rachel Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author with a PhD in English, so it’s safe to say she lives in a world of books and stories. She’s taught writing workshops at conferences, festivals and events across Australia and New Zealand, tutored in English at the University of Tasmania, and has been mentoring writers for over 10 years. Her books have hit bestseller lists, won awards, been translated into twenty languages, and published in over twenty-eight countries. Besides books, she’s also obsessed with dogs, cats and popcorn. Luckily, she has two dogs, two cats, a popcorn maker and overflowing bookshelves, so she's covered on all fronts.

This workshop will be delivered online via Zooom and you will receive an email with the zoom link shortly after purchasing a ticket.
