Do you have a fantastic workshop idea for RWA’s 2020 conference in Fremantle? Submissions are now open so whether it focus on craft, business, research or the industry, we want to hear from you!
The 2020 RWA conference will be held in Fremantle, Western Australia, from 14–16 August at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle by Rydges. Lisa Cron, author of Story Genius and Wired for Story, will deliver a full-day workshop on Friday. (Check out her Ted talk Wired for story: Lisa Cron at TEDxFurmanU). Lisa’s workshop will run concurrently with an Author Day for published authors.
New York Times bestselling author Heather Graham will also be in attendance as well as a whole host of international and national publishers, editors and agents including Tanera Simons, agent for Darley Anderson, and Anna Boatman, publisher from PCR Fiction (Piatkus Fiction and Constable Crime).
There’s a whole lot to love about the 2020 conference but we need your help to make it a success.
Workshop submissions are now open and we’re calling on local and international talent to present sessions on craft, business, research and industry. This will also be an inclusive and diverse conference, and we encourage submissions that cover a broad range of topics including gender, sexuality, age, and subgenre.
To add your submission, please visit Fremantle 2020 submission and submit your proposal before 30 September 2019. Successful presenters will be notified by 31 October 2019 and must confirm their participation by 30 November 2019. The program will be announced February 2020.
Over the coming months we’ll be sharing more information about the 2020 conference including interviews with our special guests and tips on having a great conference in Fremantle. Until then, head to RWA’s YouTube channel or click here: the 20 reasons why Fremantle is where you want to be in 2020.
